1. How many players will be on each team?
We've capped team sizes at 13 players.
2. When and where are practices held?
Training sessions are scheduled twice a week located at Sports Iowa, in Ames. Once we are in season this changes due to having games. Right now we practice Fridays 4-6pm at Sports Iowa, plus games and tournaments.
3. Will there be travel involved?
We minimizing travel to Central Iowa keep things manageable for players and families.
4. How competitive is the team?
At Fast Break Academy, we blend competitive spirit with skill development and teamwork, aiming for a balance between challenging and enjoyable play. With teams for all skill levels, there’s a place for everyone here.
5. Will parents be required to volunteer?
While we appreciate any support from our families, we aim to keep volunteer commitments minimal to allow parents to fully enjoy watching their athletes play.
6. What are the registration fees?
$275 for the 2024/2025 season. If you'd like to train and not participate in a team we have options available. Just message us!
7. Will fundraising be necessary?
We aim to keep registration fees inclusive to reduce additional fundraising. We’re also seeking community partnerships to support our growth. Know someone interested in helping? Please share our contact information.
8. Is playing time evenly distributed?
While playing time is earned through dedication and performance in practice, we strive to ensure every player has a chance to shine on the court during games.
9. How many games can we expect?
We anticipate a packed schedule of 15-20 games, offering ample opportunities for competition and growth throughout the season.
10. Are there plans for tournaments?
Yes! We are always actively exploring opportunities for additional tournaments and scrimmages with local teams to further enrich our players' experience. Stay tuned for updates!
